Where I am now
Since completing my training and graduating from the Institute for the Psychology of Eating a lot has changed - my scales are gone & I have a new relationship with food and my body. I realised that while I had enjoyed my life, I hadn’t been truly authentic with myself. I hadn’t really been doing what I wanted to do. On top of that for all those years I had put on a brave face and ‘coped’, I’d been the strong person that everybody expected me to be. but at what cost? I had been a secret eater and a binge eater since my thirties with food hidden around the house that I ate when no one was there to see me. This intensified after my husband passed away as I was on my own all the time so I could openly binge.
The principles of my training taught me that the stress of suppressing all those emotions along with not living authentically throughout the years was at the root of my binge eating habit. In addition to that, chronic low level stress had caused Adrenal Fatigue and was contributing to the difficulties I was having in shedding any more weight. During my study I also went on a journey of spiritual discovery – an area I had never investigated before – this journey continues as does my healing with food and body. I am a work in progress, a chrysalis slowly transforming into a butterfly. Part of that transformation is making sure that my life is filled with fun & pleasure. Click here to see what I do for fun.
In order to help my clients even more since completing my study with the Institute I have completed training to lead 'Heal Your Life' Workshops based on the principles of Louise Hay. I have also completed a Life Coaching Course which focused on setting goals based around how we want to feel. This approach is far more motivating than setting a goal that is simply about the material things we want to achieve. If we are focused on how we want to feel when we achieve that 'thing' we are far more likely to succeed. These additional trainings have added to my skillset leading me to my current focus as The Feel Good Facilitator. I use all of these skills in my workshops & programmes to assist women to reach their goal to feel good every day.
I consider myself to be very fortunate to spend my time doing something that I love and that allows me to inspire other women to start living in the here and now. I show women, just like you, how to stop waiting for a magic number on the scale, stop comparing themselves to others, stop the negative self-talk and body hatred. Through my coaching I will mentor you on a journey that heals all aspects of feeling good including your relationship with food and the art of self-love so that you can
EMBRACE WHO YOU ARE.......AND WHO YOU CAN BECOME!
Obviously I would have preferred my husband to still be here with me but his passing triggered my transformation and for that I am eternally grateful.
Allow me to walk along side you to your transformation too!
I would be honoured to share your tranformative journey with you
